YOUR UNION DUES AND WHERE DOES IT GO?
From the Office of the General Secretary Treasurer
CN/Wisconsin Central General Committee of Adjustment
Brothers:

At times I've had members ask me how and were does their union dues go each month.  I  will display an
example on this page to help you understand how your dues are distributed.

For example, you're a BLET Member of Division 209, Green Bay.  Your monthly dues deduction are:

                                                         $143.00 for a BLET Engineer

The breakdown of the dues structure is as follows:

Dues Assignment                                   For a WC BLET Engineer

National Division                                                 $34.00
National Division Convention Fund                  $ 2.00
National Legislative Board                                 $ 2.00
CN/WC General Committee                                $65.00
State Legislative Board  (Wisconsin)               $12.00*
Division Dues                                                      $28.00**

*State Legislative Board rates may differ from state to state.  In Illinois its $1
4.00, Michigan its $4.00.

**Division dues are set by your local Division.  So a dues deduction rates varies from division to division.

Understand when it comes to tax filing; your union dues are deductible under I.R.S. "Schedule A-Itemized
Deductions."

Fraternally,

Eugene "Shy" Ziegler

General Secretary Treasurer
